The Challenge
Creating URBS NFT is more than just drawing characters, it’s building a unique digital society, trait by trait. Each element; clothes, skins, glasses, hats, and more are hand-drawn digitally with care and creativity. Every trait needs to feel original, work well across combinations, and still tell the story of a degen culture rooted in Web3.
It’s a time-intensive process that pushes artistic limits, blending style, consistency, and imagination to make every URBS stand out.
The Solution
Designing the URBS collection is a deep creative journey. Each trait, whether it’s clothing, skin tones, eyewear, or headgear must be visually distinct yet harmonize across all possible combinations. With so many layers and possibilities, it’s easy to hit creative blocks or get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of work.
To solve this, I approached it like building a modular world:
I grouped traits into themes (techwear, street, dystopian, etc.) to streamline ideation.
I limited the color palette per trait set to maintain visual harmony.
I set daily design goals and used moodboards and references to stay inspired.
